Miami – Where to Stay in South Beach

Jan 29, 2020 | Lifestyle Blog, Travel Blog

Miami is a special city to us, not only because of the warmer weather, which I was more than happy to escape the cold and rain/snow for a weekend, but also because Miami is Teraj’s hometown and a big part of the inspiration behind his album – Defy.

With so many resorts and beachfront hotels, Miami has plenty to offer, and after we got to experience our amazing getaway, here are our suggestions on where to stay!

The Betsy Hotel – If you like the art and beach scene, this is the hotel for you. The high-end beachfront hotel offers style and comfort. The elegant suites are designed with luxurious furnishings of a tropical theme and the amenities are nothing short of amazing. Amenities include pools (courtyard and rooftop), a fitness center, a library, a beautiful and relaxing wellness garden & spa that offers massages, body treatments, and a coconut hot towel facial that is heaven – and more!

The Betsy Hotel is also the home of the LT Steak & Seafood restaurant – a New American restaurant serving hand-selected steaks and fresh-caught fish, fusing flavors and techniques from France, Asia and Latin America. They also serve plenty of vegetarian options. To add even more to the experience, you get to enjoy your meal while listening to live jazz and latin music, and if you’d like to savor your meal from the terrace, you get the added fun and relaxation from the scenery and sounds of the ocean.

Riviera Hotel – If you enjoy a quieter yet stylish scene, the Riviera is the answer. This sophisticated hidden gem is located away for the craziness of South Beach. The rooms have contemporary décor and options include one-bedroom apartment-like accommodations with kitchens and dining areas. Amenities include courtyard pool, rooftop pool with sundeck, full service restaurant and bar, complimentary drinks every night from 7 until 8, and more.

Mondrian South Beach – Located on the waterfront of Biscayne Bay, the Mondrian is uniquely styled in a way that pays homage to Sleeping Beauty’s Castle. The floor-to-ceiling windows and luxurious suites with balconies boost stunning views of the Bay. Amenities include their legendary pool, gym, and the GUYandGIRL spa, which provides an oasis of harmony and serenity including sauna rooms. The concierges are super friendly and ready to help you book private yacht charters and more.

Whether you decide to stay at The Betsy Hotel, Riviera Hotel, or at the Mondrian, the service will be amazing, and the ambience will have you never wanting to leave! With South Beach Pride coming up from March 28th through April 5th, these are amazing hotels to stay while you celebrate Pride Fest. South Beach Pride is going to be awesome this year. For one thing, Teraj will be performing! You can check out more Pride Festivities here.
