From “yes” to “I do” — and truly from long before that — this has been the most beautiful journey of love, discovery, and adventure. Our wedding at WorldPride DC 2025 wasn’t just a celebration of our union, it was a celebration of everything that brought us here.

Washington, D.C. has always held a special place in our hearts. It was one of our first trips together, a place where we discovered not only a deeper connection with each other but also a powerful sense of community. So when the opportunity came to celebrate our wedding as part of WorldPride in the nation’s capital, it felt like everything had come full circle

This year marks 10 years of marriage equality in the U.S., 20 years in Canada, and 10 years of us. What better way to honor that than by tying the knot surrounded by friends, family, and a vibrant, loving LGBTQ+ community?
And the icing on the cake? Our ceremony was officiated by none other than Sasha Colby, winner of RuPaul’s Drag Race and an icon in her own right. Sasha brought such grace, power, and love to the moment. It truly meant everything to have her guide us into this next chapter of our lives.
As Them Magazine wrote, “Sasha Colby presided over a surprise group wedding ceremony… The event was more than just a celebration of individual love stories; it was a communal affirmation of queer joy, freedom, and resilience.”
We couldn’t have said it better ourselves.
From Gayety: “The audience cheered and cried as couples exchanged vows and sealed their commitments with kisses… It was an emotional and unforgettable moment.” And yes, there were definitely tears on our end too.

Out Magazine shared the joy of the day perfectly: “With the Capitol dome as a backdrop and love in the air, couples found magic in the moment — a celebration not only of Pride but of perseverance, history, and heart.”
And PinkNews captured the emotion of the day: “The ceremony, held under the rainbow-hued
skies of DC, reminded everyone that Pride is protest, but it is also love — pure, loud, and
unapologetic.”
Having our close friends and family present and watching us say our vows in front of them was
everything we could have dreamed of. It was love, laughter, joy, and Pride wrapped into one
unforgettable day.
Pride, to us, means freedom. The freedom to live authentically, to love out loud, and to stand
together as a community. It’s a powerful reminder of how far we’ve come and how important it
is to keep showing up — for each other and for those still fighting for that freedom.

We’re so grateful to have been part of something so meaningful — not just for us, but for the community we love so deeply. Here’s to ten years of us, and a lifetime more.
