I recently traveled to Italy for the very first time, but sadly, I only had 3 days to see it. I was running out of vacation days, so I…

2 weeks ago by asianmapleleaf A few weeks back I was invited to the official residence of Canada in New York, the Consul General’s apartment, to celebrate the 100th anniversary of Canada’s presence in the Big Apple. It was a privilege to be able to spend an evening with exceptional Canadians! I was also honoured to have been nominated as a Canadian who made a difference in New York... which is crazy as I was only planning to stay in New York for 2 years but it has almost been 5! In this time, I volunteered at SAGE, an organization for elder LGBTQ members of

4 weeks ago by asianmapleleaf I am happiest when travelling and discovering new places!!  @realescapetravel  took us off the beaten path to an old railway path that cuts through old abandon villages. I am not going to lie, at first it was quite creepy because we did not see another car/person for miles. Then it became really cool especially to see all the cool forgotten history. After seeing that I can confirm that Bosnia and Herzegovina is definitely one of the last undiscovered regions in Europe with vast tracks of wild and untouched nature. Did you know the Bosnia and Herzegovina border is only 15

1 month ago by asianmapleleaf One surprise from this trip was the unexpected beauty throughout the country of Bosnia and Herzegovina! Everyone knows about the old walled city of Dubrovnik but few have seen the ancient cities just north. Sarajevo is the capital and the old town is the definition of the meeting of cultures. It has western and eastern influences with gorgeous mosques just around the corner from churches. Check it out with  @real .escape.travel if you a different type of travel experience.  #bosnia   #visitbosnia   #Herzegovina   #bosniaandherzegovina   #sarajevo   #travelstories   #travelblog

1 month ago by asianmapleleaf This was my first time in Bosnia and Herzegovina and it has been an eye opening experience. I honestly didn’t know what to expect and didn’t know much about the country other than it had a war....a few wars. The country has underrated beauty , welcoming people ‍♀️, and many historic sites ⛪️. It has more than recovered from the war and I was surprised there weren’t already more visitors in the region.. y’all totally missing out! Lol. Thank you  @realescapetravel  for being so hospitable and showing me around your great country! Pictured is one of the more famous sites
